    Re: The Seekers

Awesome! Do they mail the subscriptions out the same date they send them to stores?

    Re: The Seekers

I really don't know when the subscription issues go into the mail.  I prefer to buy my comics in a shop, but run the risk of the book I want being sold out by the time I get there.  There was only one copy of THE SEEKERS #2 left at the store I went to.

    Maybe I should just get a subscription . . .

Why would you buy it? YOU WROTE IT!

    Re: The Seekers

Wouldn't YOU buy something that you wrote?

Besides, after I send my scripts to the Guardian Line, I almost never see any part of the final product until it's on store shelves.  The first time I ever saw the cover to THE SEEKERS #2 was when I grabbed the last copy at my local comic shop.

Comics are very much a collaborative effort, and I am always interested to see how the rest of the SEEKERS team interprets my story ideas.

    Re: The Seekers

Go back to between Eden and the Flood for some mad dinosaur action!

Team-up/Crossover with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego!

Back to the early nineties so they can form their own grunge band!

...or you can skip that last one...

    Re: The Seekers

There are some dinosaurs in the fourth issue of THE SEEKERS.

    Ooooh. . . nice.

So, Mr. McCarthy, have you written the entire script for all twelve issues, or are you not that far yet?

    Re: The Seekers

Right now, I am in the middle of writing the fifth issue of THE SEEKERS.

    McCarthy:

I haven't yet received my comp copies of THE SEEKERS #2 (or, for that matter THE SEEKERS #1), but I hope to see the names of everyone who worked on the book somewhere within its pages.

The names are definitely in Seekers #2 in the letters page.  Issue #1 didn't have a letters page, which explains the lack of credits.

    So, problem solved.

The second issue is even better than the first, if I may say so myself.

Amazingly, that's true.  As much fun as Seekers #1 was, the latest issue really kicks it up a notch in terms of humor and drama.  The two funniest scenes were the Seekers interrupting Mr. Dark's meeting and Brooklyn's unintended effect on American history.  The drama also picks up with Grio's clash with Ravenous and Nila debating a career change that could lead to Steven Dark.  (BTW, thanks for quickly evolving Nila beyond the "annoying big sister" stereotype.)

Bottom line, you have a new long time fan of Seekers.

    Re: The Seekers

    Wow. . . I'm excited about this.

I've noticed that in CODE and Joe & Max that they battle demons. Are there going to be any demons in the Seekers? It seems like it won't, but I just wanted to ask.

    Re: The Seekers

Here is an early concept sketch I drew of a demon, called RAVENOUS, who first appears in THE SEEKERS #2.  We will see more of him as the series progresses.

    And the solicitation copy:

In the senses-shattering third issue of the exciting series from the Guardian Line, Jesse and Brooklyn journey to the distant past for front-row seats to the “thrillah in Elah” . . . David vs. Goliath!  But before the main event, the mysterious Grio squares off with Goliath, and loses his staff of wonders in the time stream!

After learning that Grio's life depends on that staff, the Seekers travel to the far-flung future to find it.  Instead, they find David's descendent doing battle with a giant monster robot called Goliath 2.0!  Will Jesse and Brooklyn help history repeat itself in time to save their friend?
