    Re: Artist Advice

    Hey preacha_boy,

I hear that you want to test your hand at a full comic?   If you are game, than let's do the proverbial "Team-up".    I can send you a comic idea that would fill your quota of plot-lines and story-telling.  This would give you something concrete to work on instead of just 'doodling' with random drawings.   It would also give both of us something to show the comic community what we have to offer in our respectable fields.

I have been writing my own ideas for different comics for years including different characters and genres.   What kind of comic genre do you like?  Superheroes? Sci-fi? Western?   Let me know and I'll send you a full 22-24 page story that we can both use to progress our talents.

I have also been working on a comic for a few months now that fits beautifully into this 'Religious' genre called "The Witness".   Maybe after I see how you handle a full comic, I will pass this one along to you and see if we can come up with something that would appeal to The Guardian Line.

Just drop me an e-mail or repost here with your reply.

    Re: Roll Call!

Hello everyone - I'm a music composer / producer / remixer from Central Ohio (Columbus / Grove City).  I only recently discovered The Guardian Line at Mid-Ohio-Con over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.  I was only able to attend the show for a couple of hours on Sunday morning but I met a nice woman from the Co. and picked up the Summer #0 Preview Issue.  I love what I've read and seen so far in that comic and online.  In fact after reading the preview book  really felt compelled to contact the Co. to discuss pssbile tie-in licensed music soundtracks for the books and characters but as it tends to happen I have been so busy with other soundtracks that  totally forgot about contacting anyone.  And then last night I was reading CCM and saw a tiny blurb about the line and that passion hit me again so here I am... checking in on the Roll Call and shortly I intend to follow my convictions and contact the Co. about music.

I definitely agree with some of the other posters in this thread that it's really col that there is accessibility to the writers / artists / creaters - that you for that!

    Re: Roll Call!

My name is Bill Watterson and I am from Loomis, CA, I work for a group of Financial Planners here at Christian Financial Adovcates, www.cfadvocates.com I love the Guardian line, being a long time comic book afficianado. My personal fave is Joe and Max. I got a question, I have been writing for years and have always wanted to write comics (and I have), whats the best way for a writer to get into comics? Also out of all the characters which one is the most difficult to write for?

Blessings upon blessings upon blessings, keep up the great work!

    Re: Roll Call!

    Hello All~

My name is Scott, i'm 35 and live in Philadelphia, PA. By day I am I work in shipping/recieving for a local Philly department store...but by nite I am a comicbook artist and writer! LOL ok, sorry for the flamboyant rantings, maybe I have been reading comics a bit too much LOL.

I just wanted to say Hello, and give much love and respect to the whole Guardian staff, creators, writers and artists. I am impressed with the quality of the art, storylines, and over all message these books are going to bring to the masses. I have been working on a comic I hope to have done and available later this year, it would have been done awhile ago but due to recent family loss I have not had the strength to get it done. But, since I have seen the Guardian line of books it has given me the strength and courage to finish my project (some of my characters are religious in nature and I was afraid of the acceptance in the comics world).

Question for you...I want to send some drawings I have done of the Guardian characters to your company via regular mail, to where and to whom should I send them? As for anyone else who would like to talk comics, especially other creators and artists, I would love to hear from you. You can reach me at acomicbookartist@yahoo.com

Thanks for your time & best of luck with the books!

    ~Scott K.

    Re: Roll Call!

Hey, all. I'm Joe Hilliard.  I'm out in sunny Southern California with my wife and daughter. We live in Ontario, which is about 50 miles east of downtown LA. I'm closer to Riverside and San Berdoo (if that means anything to you). During the day I work as a paralegal in-house for a developer, keeping track of all their corporate records. In my copious (ha!) spare time I do a review and interview column over at popthought.com - comic books, books, games - you name it. I followed over here from comcispace. I haven't had a chance to grab any of the books yet, but I really like the previews around here....

    Hey Guys

I'm from London, England and I don't know how to get your comics over here.  I love the look of the Code but I can't even find a Diamond code.  What do I do?

    Re: Roll Call!

Hello. My name is The Weapon of God. I really appreciate these comics. It's so sad how Christian comics are either not out there or they are low quality. Great work, Guardian Line. And God bless your ministry.

    Re: Roll Call!

    Hi there,

I call myself The Archangel and I live up in Canada, am studying to become a Pastor (only 5 courses away from completion of my B.A.) and love good quality Christian comics work. I operate a fan-site based on the Archangels series from Cahaba Productions. Right now I am an Educational Assistant, a married man and father of 2.

Just a question - why naked teenage angels? This has been a debate on the Cahaba Boards when Morrow first posted the link there and we have waited for a response and have gotten none. Please respond to this in the Genesis 5 section where I have a specific thread started there based on this very question, and please post it on the Cahaba Boards where others are waiting to hear about the reasoning behind naked teenage angels.

Re: Roll Call!, how about a sidekick?

GREATTINGS I go by the handle of Clay Levian   CLAY as in HE is the potter and we are the clay, plus, the Levites were servants of God whom cared for the temple in the wilderness , so, I serve God similar to them this is how I get Levian . I am from Paris Illinois. My real name is James.

I wish I could write comics I have an idea of a character (Levian) I have worked on , just in my head but, I can't get it on paper I can tell his story background how he became and all but I'm a lousy writer speller , I can talk about it .  I even think Levian could make a good sidekick for code. if the writers would want my idea , I would give it away for free. I would love to tell you the character bio for Levian see what you think and if you liked it then you could use it in a story as a recurring supporting character.

I have re-writing the bio for Levian over many times when I tell the story it sounds good to me, but, I just can't get it to come out right when I type it or write it down.

OK, here is an update on my character of Levian.

    October 15

    Origin

Before I was born or so my dad told me this is what happened how I came to be .
My Mom was sterile and remained childless til one day the Angel of the Lord appeared to her and said:
your prayers have been heard, you are going to conceive and have a son. Now see to it that you don't drink
anything fermented, because you will conceive and give birth to a son. The boy is to be a "Nazirite" set apart to
God. As he gets older his head must be shaved to show dedication to God. Some day he will stand firm against the darkness that is to come. Then he left and she told my dad what happened.
My father, after hearing what Mom told him , said to her "if this Angel came back ask Him to come see him.
Just as the first time the Angel appeared again to Mom Saying : I will speak to your husband as he asked you to say to me, so, mom lead the Angel to dad ,then my dad asked the Angel what should he do and what rules to fallow in raising their child as a Nazirite . The Angel answered and said: you shall name the child Levian (this means priest-warrior) and school him at home , teach him the Word of God, train him in the arts of combat, God will provide all you need to do this.
After this the Angel of the Lord got up to leave then turned back and said: he is not to drink anything fermented, he is not to know a woman as he becomes a man, he must stay pure in heart and in mind and in body and in soul. with this he disappeared .
I was born with a supernatural strength and a toughness , as I got older I've had visions from God that's helped me develop. I've learned I can put on Gods armor of light that not only gives me protection it can give me flight and a projection that can hurt only demons, devils and evil spirits.

As I got older my dad would bring home videos on Marshal arts we learned together fighting styles. every day we prayed to God to give us what we needed for me to learn what God wanted me to....*takes a drink of coffee* mmm that's better oh, were was I....ah, yes the Day the stranger came ... We were practicing Marshal Arts when a man walked up out of nowhere he went straight to the video and turned it off then he spoke :" you wont be needing that for I am here to teach you what you need to know , I have been sent here from heaven ." I asked him his name and he replied "Philip" and smiled

Philip sent here to train me , some of you might not know who he is, well, he was an apostle of Jesus , and a story of him is in the book of Acts chr. 8 ver. 26 ( now I actually don't believe he could come back, this is for my story)

Philip out ran a chariot and he teleported from a place to another by the Spirit of the Lord.

OK so, there I was like Luke in S.W.E.S.B. with Yoda ridding on his back, only Philip not on mine, running though the wood ducking and jumping limbs and logs. {a montage of Star Wars(Empire) and the Karate Kid training scenes} while I was meditating I had my first vision Gods armor of light powered by the Holy Spirit (found in Romans 13:12) and like the force in Star Wars I would be able to do fantastic things I was strong and tough now I would have an aura that protected me and use as a weapon against evil.
